How far along in my pregnancy should I be?
We recommend somewhere between 30 and 36 weeks, however whichever intake fits in to your busy life is PERFECT! Ideally close enough that you remember everything on the big day, but not so close that bub might come before you get to attend.
What happens if my baby comes early?
Sometimes these things are out of our control, and even with the best planning some bubs come extra early. We're more than happy to credit you for any of our postnatal offerings (Pilates, Yoga or Mothers Group) once bub is earthside.
Do you have many second time parents?
We've even had third time parents! Many parents go in to their first experience without doing any of this preparation, and simply understand how important it is the second time. Others simply didn't have the experience they wanted, or just want a refresher because it's been a while! No matter how many bubs you've had before, taking the time with your birthing partner to go over your intentions, talk about your birth wishes and mentally prepare for the big day is so so important.
How is this different from the classes the hospital runs?
While hospital run classes are fantastic, they often focus more on facts, interventions and options, rather than mindset, intentions, relieving fears and empowering. This course certainly doesn't replace the hospital course, however it DOES add lots of tools to your toolkit. Investing in your birth experience is so very important. Our intention is for you to walk away from your birth experience feeling empowered and happy, no matter what happens!
